Traveller's tales

by Anne Harkin

I've made two journeys to West Africa, in Feb/May 2000 and in July/August of 1999, travelling to Guinea, Ghana and The Gambia. On these trips I've studied percussion and music from African traditions, and been taught by some of the finest musicians in these countries.

On these pages you can read about some of my experiences, and if you're thinking of making the journey yourself, I have added a page of hints for travellers.
